Activities Schedule:
February 17 - Cruise to Ballena Bay YC located on the Island of Alameda on the south side of the island near the old Naval Air Station.
The channel entrance is at 37 deg 45.810 min N by 122 deg 16.940 min W.

For those cruisers interested in racing, Balena Bay YC is hosting their Jack and Jill race (two crew, 1 Male, 1Female) skippers meeting at 1030hr, race start at 1300hr, contact Balena Bay YC for further details (510) 523-2292.

There will be appetizers on the boats and dinner is available at the Yacht Club at 1900hr, cost about $12.

February 18 - Cruise to Oyster Point YC located in South San Francisco, in the shadow (WSW) of San Bruno Mountain 
The channel entrance is at 37deg 39.851 min N by 122 deg 22.147 min W.

Early risers may want to arrive in time for the Sunday Brunch, 1000hr to 1330hr, at the Oyster Point YC.

We will be having (light) appetizers on the boats and dinner will be crabs at the club, cost is TBD, please plan on bringing a side dish (salad, vegetable, bread, desert, etc.) to complement the crabs.

Notes on Facilities:
Both Balena Bay and Oyster Point Yacht Clubs have Bars and we should try and support our hosts by visiting these facilities.
Special Instructions:
Sign up before Fri. Feb 9 at the club or contact Guy Bear, we need to know your boat size (length and beam) and if you (how many) will be having dinner on the 17 and or brunch or dinner on the 18.

People cruising from the South Bay should avoid San Bruno Shoal after passing under the San Mateo Bridge and the shallow water near Bay Farm Island if you get too close to the Oakland Airport. (Don't Forget to drop the burgee if you go aground!)
