Sequoia Yacht Club offers large sailboat racing year round. We have a wide variety of races to choose from, so if you like racing at all, we should have a race or series for you.  Combined Race Schedule

St Pat's Day Race

Crewed Racing - We race SBYRA's summer and winter series.  SBYRA Standing Race Instructions .  SBYRA Courses .

Singlehanded Racing - SeqYC is one of the few clubs in the Bay Area to offer year round singlehanded racing. We race both a summer and winter series, as well as a number of specialty and championship races. SeqYC offers both a Spinnaker and Non-spinnaker divisions for the singlehanded sailor.

Specialty Races - Sequoia offers a variety of specialty races. These include long distance races, night races, women-only races, and some just plain fun/silly races.

Beer-Can Races - The Beer-Cans are informal races open to everyone. The emphasis is definitely on having fun, and we use a pursuit-race format, which cuts down on all that pre-start screaming on the part of the skippers. Everybody gets a start time based on their boat's PHRF, with the slower boats starting first. The start and finish are between day mark 20 and the dolphin just off the SW end of Wharf 4. Safety Bulletin
