Sequoia Yacht Club Laser Program

The Sequoia Yacht Club Laser program is an advanced course for sailors, ages 12-16, that have participated in our two Junior Sailing El Toro programs. It is the progression to this competitive single-handed class that will prepare the sailors for more advanced sailing opportunities. The program also has two Holders to offer alternative dingy experiences.

What can you expect? Lots of fun and hard work.

The course will expand on the basics of sailing with more emphasis on the technical skills necessary for competitive sailing and safety in the diverse sailing conditions typical of San Francisco Bay. Students will learn many concepts of dinghy racing and will get the opportunity to "round the buoys" with some friendly competition in the last portion of each session.

The course is comprised of 10 classes, offered every other Saturday morning (10am - 1:30 pm). Cost of the program is $100.00.

This class has limited capacity and students must fulfill a number of sailing and safety prerequisites in order to qualify. Scholarships are available.
