Dockwalkers Program

...promoting clean boating through education

The Boating Clean and Green Program, a joint effort of the California Coastal Commission (CCC) and the California Department of Boating and Waterways, is pleased to offer more FREE Dockwalkers Training Workshops.

The Dockwalker program is implemented in partnership with the Santa Monica Bay Restoration Foundation, the Keep the Delta Clean Program, the U.S. Coast Guard Auxiliary, and the US Power Squadrons. Other partners include: the City of Newport Beach, Association for Santa Monica Bay Yacht Club, Women's Sailing Association, Windjammers and the Fairwind Yacht Clubs, Humboldt BayKeeper, West Marine, among others.

Planning is well underway for this year’s South Bay Opening Day. It is shaping up to be a terrific weekend of events. The theme this year will be "Rockin' & Rollin' on the South Bay". Those of you who have sailed off of Hunter's Point down to south of the San Mateo Bridge on a windy day during a big ebb know what we mean. It should be fun with lots of activities throughout the weekend.
