Sequoia Yacht Club offers large sailboat racing year round. We have a wide variety of races to choose from, so if you like racing at all, we should have a race or series for you.

Singlehanded Racing - SeqYC is one of the few clubs in the Bay Area to offer year round singlehanded racing. We race both a summer and winter series, as well as a number of specialty and championship races. SeqYC offers both a Spinnaker and Non-spinnaker divisions for the singlehanded sailor.
Specialty Races - Sequoia offers a variety of specialty races. These include long distance races, night races, women-only races, and some just plain fun/silly races.
Beer-Can Races - The Beer-Cans are informal races
open to everyone. The emphasis is definitely on having fun, and we use a pursuit-race
format, which cuts down on all that pre-start screaming on the part of the skippers.
Everybody gets a start time based on their boat's PHRF, with the slower boats starting first.
