Officer Of The Day - List

Officer of the Day (OD).

Our club bylaws state:

“It shall be the obligation of every Corinthian, Senior, Sustaining and Life member to serve as Officer of the Day at the Club in rotation with other members of the club… If a member cannot serve on the day appointed, it shall be the member’s obligation to secure a replacement…”

See House Rules #10 for duties of the Officer of the Day.

The current Staff Commodore is the OD Chair.

Officer of the Day is listed for each weekend day on the SYC Calendar as well as in the Scope.

You will receive an email (or phone call if you have no email on record with the club) the month prior to your assigned date. Please respond to the email so the OD Chair will know you recieved it and are aware of your assignment.

If you cannot fulfill your OD duties on the date specified,  please try to contact and trade your assignment with another member. Phone numbers are listed in the Club’s Membership Roster. If you do trade days with another member, please notify the OD Chair so that the calendar can be updated.

Be sure to sign the OD book on the day you serve to make sure you get credit for performing your duties.

For new members – OD duty is really painless. It makes sure a member is at the club to welcome visitors, serve cruise-in guests at the bar, and hopefully recruit additional members. When you receive the email the month prior to your duty it will come with an attached "OD Guidelines" document that completely explains the few things you are expected to do on your OD day.

Please direct any questions concerning Officer of the Day to the OD Chair.
