Fourth Annual Westpoint Harbor Marina Regatta
Westpoint Harbor Marina and Sequoia Yacht Club are hosting the Fourth Annual Westpoint Marina Regatta on Saturday, July 21, 2012.
The regatta weekend will start on Friday July 20. All racers are invited to bring their boats up to Clipper Cove and join the party at TIYC. They are going to host a dinner on the night before the race, so be sure to attend and get to know the people you will be racing against.
Then on Saturday the race starts at 12:00 off the NE end of Treasure Island, rounds Alcatraz Island leaving the island to port, and then finishes at the entrance to Redwood Creek in the south bay for a total distance of 25 nm.
After the race you will find the South Bay hospitality at its best! There will be free berthing at the beautiful new Westpoint Harbor Marina. Once you are tied up, there will be transportation provided to Sequoia Yacht Club for the presentation of race results and awards. This is followed by the annual Sequoia Yacht Club Island Time party, an event not to be missed. Sequoia also will provide a breakfast at 8:30am on Sunday morning.
To enter the race, please fill out the Skipper's Entry form that can be found on the Sequoia Yacht Club’s website ( www.sequoiayc.org ) . Besides your signature, we need your down wind PHRF rating, and whether you will be Spinnaker or Non-Spinnaker division. Please send your signed entry form and the $20 entry fee to Sequoia Yacht Club.
Please note that Sequoia Yacht Club does not accept credit cards, so please come prepared to pay cash for anything purchased from the bar.
This is a great opportunity to enjoy the warmth and hospitality of both the Treasure Island and Sequoia Yacht Clubs, to come down to the South Bay, and to see a brand new marina.
