Barth Memorial Regatta Sailing Instructions Now Available

The initial Sailing Instructions for the Barth Memorial Regatta on September 11 have been posted.

The Barth Race is an on-going friendly rivalry between the Sequoia and Coyote Point Yacht Clubs. The race is held in the memory of Gustav Barth, one of the first commodores at the Sequoia Yacht Club and a founding member of the Coyote Point Yacht Club. The winning club receives the honor of displaying the trophy painting for the next year.

The race starts at 12:00 and the course is published in the Sailing Instructions. In addition to the race on Saturday, the following is the list of activities associated with this race:

• Pasta Dinner at Coyote Point Yacht Club on Friday evening, September 10.
• Breakfast at Coyote Point Yacht Club (pending) on Saturday morning, September 11.
• Race from Coyote Point to Redwood Creek on Saturday, September 11, 12:00 start.
• Western BBQ at Sequoia Yacht Club on Saturday evening, September 11.
• Breakfast at Sequoia Yacht Club (pending) on Sunday morning, September 12.

All SYC racers are encouraged to come on out and help Sequoia win the honor of displaying the trophy painting on its wall next year. Email updates will be provided with the latest race information.
