Single-handed #4 Race and Series Results Posted

The 2011 Sequoia Single-handed Race Series concluded on Saturday, September 24 with race #4. Five single-handed sailors participated in this final race of the series. This race is also run as the Commodore's Cup / Angus Foss Memorial Regatta.

The race started on-time at 12:30 and the course was 3/4 - Xp - 12p - Ys - 3/4 for a total of 7.08 nautical miles. Wind was not a problem for this last race with winds of 23 knots reported at the end of the race.

Congratulations to Lucky Duck (Paul McCarthy) for taking first place in both the Commodore's Cup / Angus Foss Memorial Regatta and in the Phil MacFarlane Single-handed Series. Paul finished the series with four first-place finishes.

Congratulations also goes to Melilani (Rich Butts) and Linda Carol (Ray Collier) for taking second and third place respectively in the Commodore's Cup Race, and to Melilani (Rich Butts) and Murmur (Doug Murray) for taking second and third place in the series.
