Winter #4 Race Results Posted
The Winter Series continued on Sat. Feb. 11 with race #4. There were 15 boats in this fourth race, 12 in the spinnaker division and 3 in the non-spinnaker division.
The skies were cloudy and the wind was switched on at around 15 knots at the start of the race. The wind was consistent while the clouds were overhead, but started to drop once the sun came out. But all-in-all wind was never an issue and a flood tide helped keep the chop down. Conditions couldn't have been better for a race.
A course of 3/4 - Xp - 12p - Ss - Ys - 3/4 was selected for a total distance of 8.09 miles. Congratulations to Yellow Brick Road (John Draeger) for taking first place, and to MADE Easy (Jim Peterson) and Dare Dare (Nico Popp) for taking second and third place respectively in the spinnaker division. Congratulations also to Linda Carol (Ray Collier) for taking first place, and to Pole Cat (Dan Doud) and Sweet Pea (Tim Petersen) for taking second and third place in the non-spinnaker division.
Race results are posted on the bulletin board at the club, and on the Sequoia web site.
