The Port of Redwood City maintains a public launch facility for trailer and hand-launched boats. The day use fee for the launch ramp is $3.50. There is a wash-off station at the far end of the parking lot across from the ramp, and public rest rooms are available. There is also a lawn area overlooking the launch ramp and dock for those wishing to stay ashore, have a picnic lunch, or fold sails.
To reach this facility, take US 101 to Redwood City and exit east on Seaport Boulevard. Turn left onto Chesapeake Drive. The launch ramp and parking / rigging lot is at the end of the street.
