| If you are between 10 and 21 years old, we'd like to invite you to become
a "Youth" member of the Sequoia Yacht Club and become part of the Bay Area's
boating community. SeqYC is a member of a variety of boating organizations, and holds a
number of regattas and events throughout the year. There is an active High School Sailing program in the Bay Area which our Youth Members participate in. Our annual dues for a Youth membership are $25.00 a year. There are a few restrictions, but you'll be able to participate in all of the club's activities and race under the club burgee. You can sail one of the Sequoia Yacht Club's Santanas after check-out by the fleet advisor. |
| You'll have an advisor to assist you in developing your sailing skills.
He or she will also help you manage and participate in races, plan boating and social
activities, and generally help you get the most out of your membership in SeqYC. You'll
also have a chance to meet and compete against other sailers your own age, both from
Sequoia and from other clubs. When you are 21, you may want to continue with SYC as a Corinthian or Senior member. Each year that you spend as a Youth member counts as a 10% credit towards the Corinthian or Senior member initiation fees. |
