Calling All Veterans!
Your club wants to buy you dinner this Friday Nov. 4, 2016. Come and help us celebrate Veterans Day. Yes, it's a week early, but consider this the "needs of the club".
If you aren't a Veteran, we also want you at the club for a great meal and to share in our celebration. Let's fill up the club.
Veteran’s DID Mess:
- Navy Beans and Ham
- Pendleton Prawn Chowder
- Tomato Bisque ala USO
- Wild Blue Yonder Salad with Blueberries, Strawberries and Feta Cheese on a bed of Popeye’s Spinach
- Coastie Crunch Salad with Roasted Pecans and Parmesan on Crisp Romaine and Butter Lettuce with Balsamic Vinaigrette
- Doughboy Donut Holes, Plain and Custard Filled (they explode in your mouth!)
- Ice Cream
- Dog Watch Coffee and Wardroom Tea
Dinner for Veterans is Free - Non-Veterans $13.00
You don’t need to fit into your old uniform or provide your DD-214 for proof. But you do have to provide a picture of yourself in uniform. Better yet, scan or take a picture of your photo and send the digital copy to me beforehand. And If you would like to share a story, so much the better.
If you are a veteran and are not able to attend (although I really hope that you will), please send me the picture as well as a brief note stating which service you were in, the dates, and anything else that you would like to add. We want to be sure that all Sequoia Veterans are acknowledged that night.
Come to the club and show your appreciation. It’s going to be a great night.
